Making some changes...

Hey ladies (and gent's if I have any that read my blog)!
Well I have some news...

I am selling my home and moving to Saskatchewan!!! I know this means that I will no longer be teaching classes in my home or at Shelley's, but now you all can take advantage of my knowledge and experience as I will be teaching my classes through my blog....FOR FREE!!!! YIPPEE!!!! Sounds great, right?

As I'm creating my latest ideas, layouts and projects I'm going to share tips and techniques with you all. If you have any techniques you want to learn ask away and I'll be glad to help you out and share with everyone as well.

I may not be posting tips and tricks right away, but I will try to share a project or two with you before the end of the month so please stay tuned : )

Are you looking for a different, unique way to use those amazing acrylic albums? Well I've found one. I'll show you how to make a beautiful home decor piece which you can change out the photos and even write on! It's amazing!

When creating this project you can use the same ideas as my demo piece or we can create a beautiful piece in your own theme or colors. Please go to Scrapbooking at Shelley's to sign up and pick out your papers prior to class.

Taking a challenge...

Hey everyone!

Classes will be starting again in the fall so be sure to keep an eye out for updates. As for right now, I've been busy creating, testing, and playing around in my scrapbooking room to have some amazing classes coming up for you.

I have also decided to give myself a "super" challenge for the summer and I have to say I'm doing very good. I have decided to have a "no buy" summer. That means I am not buying any new patterned papers, embellishments, stickers, punches, stamps, I think you get the point LOL. This has been a great way to use up some of my older "unused" supplies and be more creative using what I have. It's been so much fun that I'm going to be sharing some ideas and techniques with you all during the summer.

Wedding Invitations

Monday June 9th 7-9PM $12 You've set the date, the chapel & hall are reserved, not to let everyone know about your special day. I'll show you a few different cards you can use for invitations & how to jazz them up with ribbon, stamps, punches, & embossing to make your invitations truly unique. The cards you will be making will be in your own color scheme. Please bring a basic tool kit.

Inspiration Class

Inspiration Class: 7-9pm. Cost $12.00 Inspiration is everywhere. It can come from a brand new line of scrapbooking products to house hold items such as lovely paintings, clothes, and home decor items. Alicia will show you how to use those items you love and put the inspiration into your scrapbooking. We'll make a 2 page spread using your "inspirational piece" as the focus of your design. Whether it is the colour, shape, ofr texture, we"ll find a way to use it. YOU HAVE TO SEE THE BABY BIB THAT INSPIRED THIS LAYOUT. Please bring basic tool kit

This is going to be an amazingly fun class. I'm going to walk you through the whole process of being inspired so I hope you'll come and join me.

Take a Bite out of Paper

Wed. June 18th 7-9pm. Cost $12.00 Move over slient setters there's a newer, bigger, eyelet setter in town! Have you tried the new BIG BITE yet? You're gonna love it. In this class I will show you a variety of ideas on how to use the Crop-a-dile and Big Bite eyelet setter in your scrapbooking. You bring the pictures and we'll"play" with these awesome tools while creating a 1 page spread. Please bring a basic tool kit.

Hey ladies!
Well the Brandon Scrapbookers Charity Convention is now completed for another year and we had a blast!!! I met a lot of wonderful ladies, did some super bargain shopping, taught a couple of classes, took a couple of classes, and even had some down time to do 7 pages (4 layouts; 3 double page and 1 one page). I'm all fired up and inspired to do some more home classes so I will be posting some in the next week or so. Keep an eye out!

ACRYLIC ALBUM CLASS Thurs Apr 24th

If you missed my home class with the acrylic albums then you have one more chance to take it. I will be teaching this class at Scrapbooking @ Shelley's Thurs. Apr. 24th: 7-9:30 pm. Cost $26.00- You choose your own theme and go home with a beautiful keepsake perfect for any coffee table. Bring photo's of theme and your basic tool kit. Come in early to choose your paper and embellishments.

Cricut Demo Day - Scrapbooking @ Shelley's Apr 26 1-4PM

Sat Apr. 26th : 1-4 pm. Cost $5.00 Interested in purchasing an electronic diecutting machine? I love my Cricut Expression and the endless possibilites it holds. There's lots of tips and tricks to be shown and if you are interested in a certain cartridge stop by to check this class out. We're going to have a blast playing with the Cricut and Cricut Expression.

RIP IT-SAND IT-____ IT Thurs. May 15th

Thurs. May 15th : 7-9 pm. Cost $10.00 The new Core'dinations colour core cardstock is awesome and so much fun to play with! This fun class is all about ripping, sanding, crumpling and more. I'll be showing fun techniques and all the neat ideas that you can do with this awesome paper.

May 29th class @ Scrapbooking @ Shelley's

Thought I'd share with you all the class I'll be teaching at Scrapbooking @ Shelley's on May 29 7-9PM. I love playing with Doodlebug Designs and this one is perfect for that little one in your life that loves to play with bugs.

It's been a while

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but life has been sooo busy!!! I've been making up lots of examples for classes being held at Scrapbooking @ Shelley's, selling a few of my own layouts on Ebay, and running around to find daycare for Preston.

Luckily we have found someone whom I think will be great. Which means now I have to get ready to go back to work!!! WAAHHHH!!!! I'm so not ready to go back yet. I can't believe it's already been a year. Time sure has flown by. And with the Brandon Scrapbookers Convention around the corner, that means Preston's birthday will be our next big event.

Now that things are starting to settle down, I hope to post some pictures of the class examples here within the next week and hopefully get organized and going on my "home classes" as well. I'll keep you all posted. Take care and enjoy the beautiful weather we are having!

Have you heard the great news?

We have a new Scrapbooking store in Brandon!!! Shelley Keeble has opened her own store called Scrapbooking at Shelley’s located at 712 18th Street in the Thomas Mall. Her grand opening is on March 1st. Be sure to go and check it out for a chance to enter a draw for a Cricut Personal Electronic Cutter.

I am even more excited as I have been asked to teach classes in her beautiful store! I've had a chance to meet some of the other gals who will be teaching there as well and you are all in for a treat! There are lots of ideas flying around and with the variety of teachers there's sure to be something that will interest you.

Scalloped Acrylic Album

The hottest trend in altered items right now is acrylic (clear) albums. I’m going to show you a variety of techniques you can do with these albums. All you need to bring is 1 piece of patterned paper and your basic tool kit. Here are a couple of other pictures of this album below.

Snowflakes and Swirls
Feb15, 7 - 9:30PMHave you seen the new Autumn Leaves Rhonna Farrer Snowflake Paper??? It’s actually shaped like a snowflake and it is so cute! We will be making this layout with the snowflake and I’ll be showing you how to hand cut swirls from a template. Cost $12.

I am going to show you a variety of embossing techniques (wet and dry) you can use on your scrapbooking and card projects. We will be making a few small projects to show different ways to use embossing. Cost $15.

Winter Layout – Feb 16, 1:30 - 4 PM
This 2 page layout is fun and very detailed. We will be tearing paper, paper piecing, chalking, inking, playing with the Cricut and all around having a blast!!! This is a very detailed layout, but the end result is beautiful! Cost $20

We all have them, but they have become outdated and now take up space in your scrapping area. I’ll show you some fresh new ideas of how to use these awesome tools and bring them back to life in your scrapbooking and card making. Cost $15.

Thinking of You Heart Album

These heart albums are so awesome!!! It’s a great way to display your pictures on your desk at work or on your coffee table for those extra special visits from friends and family. Size of the album is approx 6x6.

Baby’s First Year Feb. 12, 19, + 26 7-9PM.

***Please note that this is a 3 week class. I will do my best to help you finish your album completely in class, but you may have "homework"***

This album has everything!!! A place to put your pictures in a month by month fashion, a calendar to mark all of those special dates of thinks you did if your baby's first year. All you need to purchase is your own 8x8 album, all other supplies are included. Please state whether you would like a girl theme or boy theme when you sign up. Cost: $40
