Finally....

I had a chance to get some scrapbooking done for me! I headed out to Somerset, MB for the weekend and had a chance to scrapbook with some amazing gals from the area in Swan Lake, MB. It was great! I completed 34 pages (not layouts approx. half of my pages were from 2 page layouts) and only 10 pages were projects that I had already started and just needed to finish. It was great playing with paper, embellishments and my cricut machine which I haven't used in quite a while, but do plan on using more. It was great being able to use stuff in my stash as I'm trying to cut down on my shopping for new products since I have so much to start out with! I know I'm so bad. Not only am I a scrapbooker, but I'm also a scrapbook collector. I will not call myself a hoarder as I do try to get stuff out of my stash that I will not use and pass it along to others.

Anywho, here's a couple of pics of a few layouts I did this weekend. Enjoy!

This was the first layout I did for the weekend. I had troubles sleeping with all the excitement so I was designing this one while I couldn't sleep. It drove me nuts! I couldn't wait to get started.

One of my last layouts from the weekend. I love the pictures I'm able to get with the two boys. Preston and Lachlan get along so well.

A layout scraplifted from one of my magazines. I think it was from the Creating Keepsakes Super Fast 4x6 Pages 2. The funny thing is the inspiration came from an advertisement and not from a layout picked to be in the magazine LOL! Go figure.

Baby's first year...

Just a little mini class I'm doing in Virden for the March Crop at Ceramic Corner. It's a great way to recap baby's first year, or even just any year. It's also a great layout for a monthly theme.

Think Spring...

Well it seems we are doing more mini projects around here than anything else. I just finished up my Spring Mini Album which I will be teaching at the Brandon Scrapbookers Convention. Here's a couple of pics for you to drool over : )

Not so much scrapbooking going on,

but I have completed a very cute heart album for a Kids Class at the Ceramic Corner. I love how it turned out. I love stamping and embellishing the most! So since I have been organizing so much this month I decided to take a break and finish this project. I can't wait for the crop in Virden on Feb 12 as I have so much to do. I keep thinking of layouts I want to create and papers I want to "play" with. I may just have to pull out some product and scrapbook very soon : )
Enjoy!

Welcome to January...

and although I refuse to make new years resolutions I have made a couple of goals to keep me busy. My greatest task ever is to organize my scrapbook area completely by the end of this month. I am so sick of all the extra stuff I have collected in the 10 plus years in this hobby that I am even dunging out some product I haven't used and do not plan to use. I want to say it's been going great, but everytime I get ahead there seems to be two steps back LOL! Here's my list of things I've been working on:

1.Clean off my desk of non essentials
2.Go through my patterned paper
3.Sort out my cardstock again : ( {It is now organized by color and one of 3 groups; neutrals, warm, cool}
4.Organize my albums (Lachlan's done (for now), Preston's 1st and 2nd album to be redone again as I found another pizza box with more layouts in it...Grrr)
5.Dung out anything I don't intend to use. No more saving for that perfect layout. I'd forget about it before it came around LOL!
6.Organize my photos and get them all in one place (digital and printed)
7.Date as many layouts as possible. (Lachlan's done and Preston's are almost done, then onto family, pets, and extras)

And with all this going on I've been doing really good at not spending any $$$ on scrapbook supplies this month. I plan on saving that for the Brandon Scrapbookers Convention in April : )

What are you doing to organize you space?
