Well, now that I'm back to scrapbooking it's time to get into the difficult part...journaling. I've been wanting to write down some important stories forever and since this is MY weekend off (well, as off as I can get LOL! Lachlan is still here, but Marc and Preston went camping) I've decided that between creating pages I was going to write down some stories. I know my memory is great and I can recall important days in my life, but I don't want to wake up one day down the road and not be able to remember it so I'm writing them down so the people who I want to share them with will be able to read them for years to come.
I think this has come into play more because of the stories my mom is telling me lately of when I was a baby. Lachlan has definitely not been a walk in the park like Preston was and we were caught totally off guard. Heck, we're still trying to figure him out LOL! Anywho, when mom and I talk the stories about me as a baby seem to just flow. I would have loved to hear about them as I grew up, but I don't think I would have appreciated them as much as I do now. I love hearing about how I would sleep, things my mom would do, and other stuff. Being a mom this time around has definitely changed me for sure. I have two boys to take care of and usually they're both on different schedules, but even though they are, I get to spend time with each of them in their own different ways.
Need some inspiration about writing your stories? Here are a couple of topics you can write about:
The day you were born (for those of you with children write about the day they were born)
Me @ ___ (age goes here. write about you now)
Write a letter to your younger self
Who are you like (or look like) - write about yourself or your child
A special day - wedding, graduation, birthday
Enjoy the art of creating and get journaling. Tell your story!
